Marcy Inspire M4 Multi Gym

March 312011

http://www.connection-fitness.co.uk Iso-lateral movement is a term that you hear pretty often when speaking about modern multi-gyms. What it actually means is that each side is completely independent and free to move in pretty much any direction. This means you target the muscles on each side individually, which is much better for symmetry and overall strength. This type of action also helps to develop the core stabiliser muscles in the mid-section.

This gym is loaded with special features such as a lat tower that splits for a cable crossover exercise, as well as a bench that rolls to the side to make the high pulley more accessible.

The M4 also comes standard with a dual adjustable pulley column for important exercises like bicep curl and tricep extension. This pulley column has been designed to offer a quarter pulling ratio, so that each 10 lb. weight plate offers 2.5 lbs of resistance. These smaller increments are important for smaller muscle groups. Undoubtedly the most well equipped home gym on the market today.

Hamstring exercises: Leg Curl Machine Exercise

March 312011

Leg Curl Machine Exercise is one of the most effective hamstring exercises. The only disadvantage is that you will require a gym machine to perform it :) .
Instruction: Lie down on the machine, with your ankles under the cushion. Hold a position, where your legs are slightly bent; this will keep your femoral muscles tensed during the entire exercise. Bend your knees, stopping before your legs reach a vertical position. Pay attention, that the weights used, never rest on the holders.

You can find more fitness and muscle exercises videos with the professional animations and detailed instructions at http://www.passion4profession.net

Which home gym equipment is best for weight loss?

March 282011

An elliptical, treadmill, or something else? Thanks :) I’m leaning more towards treadmill because they aren’t as expensive!

The treadmill is the most workout effective and usually the most cost-effective as well. You can get many digital treadmills with very cool features such as terrain maps and iPod ready video screens for reasonable prices.

Ellipticals are for people with joint problems. However, many people without joint problems favor them over treadmills because they seem easier to use, especially if one bounces through the motions. Of course, they won’t get the same level of results.

Stair climbers are also very effective but can be far more boring than treadmills. Many people also find them to be torture.

Stationary cycles and spinning bikes are fun but don’t deliver the same amount of calorie burn per minute with similar effort that a treadmill does.

What’s the best gym equipment to use to lose weight?

March 282011

I’m aiming to lose weight at the gym but am being careful not to gain too much muscle. My body type is a bit bulky i’m not fat but I want to slim down.

What are the best bits of gym equipment to use to lose weight without gaining muscle? Also how long shall I go on for, i’ve been told that walking then running then walking then running etc is the best way on a treadmill, is that correct?

Any help would be great, thanks :)

You could do the treadmill. It gets boring. The elliptical machine is less hard on the knees, and will get the blood moving. If in doubt, pick the brains of a trainer.

New Home Gym

March 272011

I got a weight bench and of course the treadmill. I will be doing daily broadcasts on blogtv where you can see me exercise.

Be sure to add me as a friend over there

Follow me on twitter and find out when I go live

The reason I invested the money in a home gym instead of a gym membership is cost. It is much cheaper than paying for gym membership when you consider all the fees they have you sign up for.

Furthermore, you have to go to the gym and in bad weather that may not always be an option, especially in the heat of the summer as I ride the bus. There is also the other issue of picking up some nasty stuff from other guy’s sweat.

My apartment does have a gym but as of recently it has fallen into disrepair and the AC doesn’t work in there. Having the exercise equipment at home will be an incentive for me to use it.

Finally, I need a new outlet to deal with stress and emotions. I am going to take a friends advice and get some exercise when I need to deal with things.
