Which is better crunches/sit-ups with gym equipment or just your normal on the floor method?

So I have done my share of crunches and sit-ups on the floor and it usually hurts my back and takes at least 20 reps to feel it.

I just gym equipment today for the first time with a lil over 50lbs and felt it right away.

My back still hurt but I’m wondering which is a better workout for my abs.

So which is better?

Well everyday when i came home i used to do 500 crunches and in a week i had abs, so i say the at home method works just fine.

Best gym equipment for target body parts?

I go to the gym a couple of times a week and was wondering which equipment I should use. I would like to burn fat in the stomach and thighs, and tone my butt as well. (It can be different equipment for different parts, I don’t need to accomplish all with one machine.) Thanks for your help!

Either walk on a high incline on the treadmill at the speed of roughly – 3.7 to 4.0 mph! OR Use the elliptical trainer and put it at a resistance of 6 or above, and if you can do intervals, such as be at the level of 6 for 2-3 minutes and then up it to 10 or so for another 2-3 minutes and then back down to 6, and so on! I would try and go for 45-60 minutes…Because going that long = fat loss!!!

I can’t afford a gym membership and I have no absolutely no equipment of my own. I’ve heard of working out and building muscle by doing certain exercises, I don’t know if it’s possible. Website links appreciated if it’s proven that it works.

if you want an intense full body workout with nothing but yourself, i suggest doing burpees. Try do a descending 20 workout – 20 burpess, rest, 19 burpees, rest … until 1. This is commonly known as the prison workout.

There are a few good sites with workouts you can do with no equipment, try searching "bodyweight workouts" on google or youtube.
