How can I do a simple, everyday workout to keep me toned at home…with little or no equipment?

March 172010

This summer, I’d like to keep in shape, without spending money at a gym or expensive exercise equipment.

Soup cans! What I like to do is capable of accomplishing while watching tv. Just mererly get two soup cans and a pillow. During commercial break sit up straight on top of the pillow with your knees supporting you,at normal distance apart from each other.lift the cans shoulder distance apart, and squeeze in your shoulder blades while you slowly lift them up and down. Repeat until your show comes back on.

I hope thats helpful. :)

you can try any number of workouts from home withlittle or no equipment just give a search for "at home fitness" or something along those lines, more and more articles and websites cover this issue as many people don’t want or have the money to spend on memberships or equipment.

But overall just keep active, use lightweight objects from around your house, maybe at the msot invest in an core ball (very cheap these days one of those huge rubber balls you always see infomercials for) or even a medicine ball much smaller, heavier (but not to heavy, such as an 8 lb. ball) and use those to do simple but effective exercises. Like squats with the ball overhead, twisting situps with the ball stretched out in front of you, pushups with your hands and/or feet on the ball, simply running up and down stairs, or doing step up on and off a sturdy low table, and lastly some cardio which can be used with or without the ball for added benefits.

You should check out Pilates. Loads of people swear by it.
