Buy a used home gym or go to the gym?

So it’s about $300/year to go to the gym, but I can buy a nice home gym for about $300. Pros of a gym is once you get there you will work out, but it’s only for a year and you have to drive to get there. Pros of a home gym is it would be cheaper in the long run and won’t have to drive to it, but less workouts to do.
Buy the gym – what the people at the gym don’t tell you is that if their equipment "messes up" and you get hurt (like a Smith Machine, etc) they are not liable. They’re not good at maintaining the machines properly at many gyms, once they set them up they don’t check them again. If you have your own, you can work out when you want and know that you have checked on all the moving parts to make sure it is in safe working order. Of course, you could sue a gym, but that doesn’t really take care of the harm you may be caused…

Go to the gym. If your equipment messes up, you have 2 pay for a repair. Also, you will get bored at home and come up with excuses not to work out (unless you are suuuper determined)
