Is it better to join a gym or set up some gear at home?
March 82010
Ive been latley thinking about joining a gym, which could end up costing around $50-$60 a month but have a near empty garage at home, and have seen some cheap second hand weight benches and home gyms. any ideas on which is worth it more?? i cant decide.

I personally do better at a gym. If I set up things at home I just look at them a think that I’ll get to them letter. With a gym membership, I have somewhere to be. It’s a part of the routine. You see people you know. Plus, your paying for it monthly so that is motivation in itself. I am also more motivated if I belong to a really nice gym. It’s more inviting and makes you ant to go there more.

I get a great workout everyday from just doing pilates and a little yoga. I don’t think gyms are necessary but it you need it to motivate you….go for it!

buying a home gym is better and a one time fee. Buy this and you won’t be dissapointed.
Buy
olympic barbell, that can hold heavy poundages
bench, for bench presses
squat rack, for squats
thats all you need to build a good physic, these are the exercises you can do with only that
military presses
bench presses
barbell back rows
close grip presses(to build your triceps)
deadlifts(one of the best exercises ever)
squats(one of the best exercises ever)
calf raises
barbell curls
stiff leg deadlifts(to build lower back strength)
cleans, clean and jerks, ( to build explosive strenght power) etc…
what to do to make sure you work out…..buy a radio and put in some heavy metal or your favorite music loud and hit the weights hard. good luck
